:10 Second Hockey
projects.

about.
If you're here, it's because you saw a post on Reddit, or someone told you about this site based on a post from Reddit. In either case, thank you for visiting.

Listen, I'm not a data scientist or an expert on hockey analytics. I'm just a dude on the internet. Actually, that's selling myself short a little. In reality, I'm a hockey fan, turned player, turned coach.
I played roller hockey as a kid, and didn't switch to ice until college. So, I didn't learn about hockey by being coached by actual youth coaches. I bought every hockey book I could get my hands on, watched every VHS tape I could rent, read every article I came across, and spoke with anyone willing to spend more than 5 minutes with me talking about hockey. My base of knowledge about hockey is all over the place. As such, I have some interesting thoughts/questions/ideas about the sport.

So, in a quest for more knowledge, I decided to "do my own research" and really start taking a more critical, analytical mind to these questions. And here is where I'll post all of my findings.

These projects that I'm going to post are passion projects that I've been meaning to get around to really studying but never fully commited to. I spend so much time trying to answer these questions for my own knowledge, I figure it's time I share and see what you think.

As I tell the kids I coach:
"I'm not a genius; I'm just a dude who watches a ton of hockey."
